Cooperation with the University of Wrocław

On 7 December this year, cooperation between Polish Security Printing Works (Polska Wytwórnia Papierów Wartościowych) and the University of Wrocław was initiated. An agreement to this effect was signed by Maciej Biernat, President of the Management Board of PWPW, and Professor Łukasz Machaj, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wrocław.

Education in methods of securing and verifying the authenticity of documents and banknotes, co-organisation of scientific conferences, training workshops on methods of securing and verifying the authenticity of documents and counterfeits, and publishing cooperation, in particular within the framework of the “Person and Documents” quarterly published by PWPW, are the most important objectives of the cooperation between Polish Security Printing Works and the University of Wrocław, which was initiated on 7 December this year. An agreement to this effect was signed by Maciej Biernat, President of the Management Board of PWPW, and Professor Łukasz Machaj, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wrocław. The meeting, which took place in the Senate Room at the UWr, was also attended by Professor Jacek Przygodzki, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the University; Aleksandra Grynkiewicz, Director of PWPW's Centre for Education and Training; Michał Krupa, Director of PWPW's Strategy and Project Management Office; and Dr Rafał Cieśla from the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the UWr. The University of Wrocław has been operating since 1702 and is one of the oldest universities in Central Europe. It is the only university in Lower Silesia to boast the title of Research University.
