PWPW awarded the INTERGRAF certificate
 (07-03-2019)

The INTERGRAF certificate (ISO 14298) obtained by the Polish Security Printing Works is a key document for manufacturers of security print products. It confirms the highest level of production security and constitutes a competitive advantage in the security printing market.

For many years PWPW has been a manufacturer of documents and secure prints for Polish and foreign customers. Its portfolio includes contracts for governments, Polish and international companies and numerous state institutions. Customers' trust is a result of the application of appropriate security procedures and 100 years of experience in the production of securities, which guarantees the highest quality of production.

- Obtaining the certificate is a confirmation for the current and potential customers that PWPW’s products are manufactured in strictly defined and safe conditions, guaranteeing the highest international safety standards at every stage of production - from the delivery of raw materials to the transport of the finished product to the customer - said Maciej Biernat, President of the Management Board of PWPW. The facility also has its own paper mill with CWA 15374 certificate, which additionally increases the production safety level - added Biernat.

The need for PWPW to hold the INTERGRAF certificate results primarily from the high requirements set by customers, but also directly from various legal regulations, such as the Act on Public Documents, the Bill amending the Act on the Protection of Health Against the effects of the use of Tobacco and Tobacco Products and decisions of the European Commission.

The ISO 14298 certificate is intended for manufacturers of security prints protected against counterfeiting, such as banknotes, identity cards, passports, driving licences, postage and fiscal stamps, holograms, certificates and concerns the management of the production processes of these exceptional products.

The CWA 15374 certificate describes a safety management system for suppliers of security printers, i.e. manufacturers of specialist inks, security paper, laminating boards, guillotines, foils, security features design software, substrates, pigments or coatings.
