Congratulations for Polish wrestlers

At the invitation of the Minister of Sport and Tourism Witold Bańka, member of the PWPW Management Board Janusz Kowalski took part in a meeting with the medalists of the European Wrestling Championships. Congratulating the Polish wrestlers on their success, he pointed out that the Polish Security Printing Works wanted to be an active sponsor and support the Federation on many levels.

The meeting was also attended by Andrzej Supron, President of the Polish Wrestling Federation, Piotr Krajewski, coach of the women's national team, Andrzej Głaz, Secretary General of the Polish Wrestling Federation, and Marcin Nowak, Director of the Department of Professional Sport at the Ministry of Sport.

The European Wrestling Championships took place from 30 April to 6 May 2018 in Caspiansk, Russia. Our representatives brought from the event:

  • Magomedmurad Gadzhiev – silver medal in weight category 70 kg, free style
  • Roksana Zasina – silver medal in weight category 55 kg, women's wrestling
  • Robert Baran – bronze medal in weight category 125 kg, free style
  • Katarzyna Krawczyk – bronze medal in weight category 53 kg, women’s wrestling

 

Polish wrestlers will soon face another major sporting event, namely the World Championships, which will take place in October in Hungary. PWPW has been a sponsor of Polish wrestling since 26 May 2017.
