PWPW took part in the HSP EMEA conference
 (21-02-2018)

High Security Printing EMEA, one of three largest regional conferences dedicated to security printing, was held on 19–21 January in Warsaw.

HSP EMEA (East, Middle East and Africa) apart from HSP Asia and HSP Latin America is the largest global security printing event of this type. For this reason representatives of PWPW just had to be there. We were also one of the sponsors of the event.

The conference was attended by approximately 250 delegates from nearly 40 countries. The meeting was accompanied by the presentation of awards for the best banknote issued in the region since the last conference (in this case since March 2017) and for the best document. This time, the best banknote award went to the Central Banks of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan ex aequo for the latest collector banknotes, and the best new documents were the new passport issued in Kuwait and Jordan's electronic identification card. It is worth recalling that in 2017 the National Bank of Poland received the award for the best banknote for its PLN 500 note.

During the conference, 40 exhibitors from the security printing industry presented their services, including the Works. We presented our solutions for the production of banknotes and secure documents. Experts from PWPW participating in the conference sessions had an opportunity to broaden their knowledge about new solutions and trends in the security printing market. After the conference, representatives of central banks and government institutions visited the Works to see the production processes of PWPW. Guests were shown the paper mill, the printing press and the banknote production and packaging departments.
