Promotion of the Large Family Card mobile application
 (12-01-2018)

On Friday, 12 January, the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy held a press conference promoting the Large Family Card mobile application. The conference was attended by the President of PWPW Dr. Jakub Skiba.

The Large Family Card mobile application is a proprietary IT solution developed by PWPW and commissioned by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy (MRPiPS). It complements the traditional plastic card produced by PWPW. The company started its co-operation with the ministry already at the stage of designing it. Specialists at PWPW have also developed for the Ministry the application logo, user regulations, promotional materials (e.g. a film screened during the conference). Their task was also to introduce the application to Google and AppStore stores. Currently, PWPW is responsible for the proper and uninterrupted functioning of the application using its IT infrastructure.

The Large Family Card is displayed on the smartphone screen with a QR code confirming its authenticity. Parents also have access to their children's cards. The application allows to quickly find on the map a partner of the programme offering cardholders various discounts. It also displays contact details and the address of the partner's website, as well as information on discounts for the KDR holders. It enables users to search for programme partners by name, industry, keyword or city. It also allows routing to selected points using the default map application on a smartphone.

During the conference, the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy and PKN Orlen S.A. signed an agreement on the company's accession to the Large Family Card programme.
