Medical Registers go online
 (21-10-2011)

On 20 October 2011 representatives of the consortium of Rodan Systems S.A. and PWPW S.A. signed an agreement with the Healthcare Information Systems Center on the execution of an information sharing platform under the P2 project. The gross value of the contract is estimated at nearly PLN 8.5 million.

In June 2011 the Healthcare Information Systems Center announced unlimited tender for the design, execution and implementation of a P2 system. 14 entities participated in the tender procedure. After an analysis of the bids the Ordering Party excluded two bidders from the procedure. The bid prepared by the consortium of Rodan Systems S.A. and the IT Solutions Division of PWPW S.A. was selected as the most favourable one.

“As a company owned by the State Treasury, which guarantees the security of authorization processes, we actively engage in projects aimed at the computerisation of the State”, says Andrzej Bogun, Member of the Management Board of PWPW S.A. “Together with our consortium partner we will build an information sharing platform to consolidate the data currently dispersed throughout several dozen different registers of administrative bodies, enterprises or medical self-government authorities”.

The project will lead to the creation of a nationwide system providing access to medical services and digital registers. The project aims to popularize electronic communication between enterprises and public authorities in the healthcare sector. The gross value of the contract is PLN 8,464,860. The deadline for project completion is 360 days; in accordance to its bid the consortium will produce the platform on the basis of the OfficeObjects® product platform owned by Rodan Systems.

At present PWPW S.A. is also executing an agreement with the IT Projects Center of the Polish Minister of the Interior concerning the construction and implementation of a system providing access to official journals under the ePUAP platform.
