Banknotes, documents, and other physical products remain the foundation of our business, while we are also implementing innovative technologies in digital identity verification and securing legal and business transactions in cyberspace.

Sanguszki Street, 00-222 Warsaw, Poland.  The company has been entered in the register of entrepreneurs maintained by the District Court for the City of Warsaw, 12th Commercial Department of the Polish Business Register, under number 0000062594.  The share and paid-up capital amounts to PLN 130 650 380.00. The company holds tax identification number (NIP) 525-000-10-90

Polish Security Printing Works S.A. is a company wholly owned by the State Treasury, which is supervised by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration. The Supervisory Board exercises permanent supervision over the Company's operations, in all areas of its activity. The executive body responsible for the conduct of the company's affairs and its representation is the management board. On 5 December 2019, the Prime Minister issued Regulation on the list of companies in which rights from Treasury shares are exercised by members of the Council of Ministers other than the Prime Minister, Government Plenipotentiaries or state legal persons, including companies wholly owned by the Treasury. Pursuant to this Regulation, ownership supervision over PWPW S.A. is exercised by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration. The Regulation entered into force on 6 December 2019.

The member Management Board is an executive body responsible for the company's affairs and representation.

Each stage of production at PWPW is carried out according to strictly specified norms and rigorously observed procedures aimed at ensuring the highest quality of products and the maximum level of security.

The history of the firm dates back to 1919.  On 25 January 1919, at a meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Ignacy Jan Paderewski, the Prime Minister, a decision was made to establish the State Graphic Works.  In the twenties, the State Graphic Works were transformed into a joint-stock company operating under the name Polska Wytwórnia Papierów Wartościowych ( Polish Security Printing Works).
