International experts at the Polish Security Printing Works (PWPW).

On 29 June 2016, PWPW received the representatives of the international Counterfeit Experts Group.

This year's host of the international Counterfeit Experts Group meeting was the National Bank of Poland, one of the main clients of the Polish Security Printing Works. The Group operates within the BANCO ESCB Committee and its main tasks involve the monitoring of euro counterfeiting and the exchange of experience in the protection of the euro against counterfeiting. The Group comprises representatives of national banknote analysis centers, the European Commission and Europol and representatives of other European central banks. The chairperson of the Group is the Head of the Counterfeit Analysis Center of the European Central Bank.

After the welcome greeting by Robert Malicki, member of the Management Board, the experts listened to a brief presentation concerning the company, its production potential, technology used and products and services offered by PWPW on the domestic and foreign markets.

One of the most interesting points of the visit was the possibility of enter the production facilities of the Polish Security Printing Works. Guests visited the banknote production chain where they learned about the banknote printing process, the banknote sorting area where banknotes are sorted and packed, as well as the printing laboratory where quality and stress tests of banknotes are performed.
