Polish stamp awarded in Brazil

"65th Anniversary of Warsaw Uprising" stamp of the Polish Post, produced by PWPW S.A., has won an international competition of the Association of Producers of Government Postage Stamps in the combined techniques category.

 

The author of the winning project is artist Paweł Myszka, and author of the engraving is Przemysław Krajewski. The stamp features a blazing Prudential – the highest then in Warsaw and the second highest in Europe building of the English insurance company.

The winning stamp was issued last year and produced by PWPW in a circulation of 300 thousand units in two techniques: steel engraving (1 colour) and rotogravure (2 colours).

PWPW S.A. for many years has been producing stamps for the Polish Post. The company's portfolio includes, i.a.: scented stamps, stamps in the shape of a triangle, with dry embossing, stamps printed with unconventional inks and ground prints to personalized stamps implementation.
